When Should You Schedule a Skin Check?

Screening is about noticing change over time. A few simple prompts can help you decide when to book.

A skin check is a systematic examination of the skin. It is not reserved for people with an obvious concern.

Reasonable prompts

A new spot that was not there last year, a mole that has changed in colour or outline, or anything that itches, bleeds or does not heal are all reasonable reasons to book.

Intervals

Suggested intervals vary between individuals. Your provider will recommend a schedule based on your history rather than a general rule.

In between visits

Photographs taken in consistent lighting make change much easier to notice over months.
